Privacy

Your photos never leave your devices.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

PhotoBridge moves photos and videos directly between your Mac and your iPhone over a USB-C cable (or your local network). Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

The short version. We don't have a server that stores your photos, we don't run analytics or trackers, and we don't ask you to create an account. Your library stays yours.

What we don't collect

Photos permission (iPhone app)

The PhotoBridge iPhone app asks for permission to add to your Photos library so it can save the photos your Mac sends. If you choose to add transfers to a named album, it needs read-write access to create and update that album. This permission is used only to save your incoming photos on your device. Nothing is read for any other purpose and nothing is sent anywhere.

Purchases and licensing (Mac app)

The Mac app is a one-time purchase. Payments and license keys are handled by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. When you buy, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment details (we never see or store your card information). The app validates your license key with Lemon Squeezy to confirm it's active. We do not build a marketing profile from your purchase.

Software updates (Mac app)

The Mac app checks updates.photobridge.app for new versions using Sparkle, the standard macOS update framework. Like any web request, this may appear in ordinary server logs (for example, an IP address), but no personal information is sent and update checks are not used to identify or track you.

This website

This site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Cloudflare may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to operate and secure the site.

Third parties

The only third parties involved are the services that make the product work: Lemon Squeezy (payments and licensing), Cloudflare (website hosting and update delivery), and Apple (App Store distribution and, on your device, the Photos library). Their handling of any data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

PhotoBridge is a photography utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
